General Laborer/Warehouse

Summary:

The Forklift Operator will operate powered industrial machinery such as pallet jacks and forklifts and prepare product for picking by our night order selectors.

Essential Job Functions:

• Put away products that are received throughout the day
• Replenish our pick slots for our night order selectors using FIFO/dates
• Requires physically moving product from pallets to both smaller pick locations and onto existing pallets at pick locations
• Locate and move stock of products to pallets for storage or shipment
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
• Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
• Adhere to all workplace safety guidelines.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area.
• Adhere to policies and procedures that ensure efficient and compliant operations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED
• Pallet jack or forklift experience preferred

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Average degree of computer skills.
• Effectively manage time and meet set targets and deadlines.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-based atmosphere.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
• Driven, self-motivated, and dedicated to continuous improvement.

Physical Demands/Work Environment

• Frequently required to adjust or move goods averaging 20- 50 pounds in all directions
• Frequently required to repeat motions that may include the wrist, hands, and/or fingers
• Frequently required to walk, kneel, crouch, bend, or stoop
• Frequently required to lift objects from floor to waist (20-50 pounds) and from waist to overhead (40 pounds)
• Subject to inside environmental conditions, protection from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes, including temperatures below 32 degrees for more than one hour
• Required to have visual acuity to operate heavy equipment
• Perceiving sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication
