Function
 Perform the duties of a forklift operator to lift and transport items of equipment, parts, materials,
blades and supplies as required.
Typical Responsibilities
 Maintain aisles, storage areas and dispatch areas and orderly condition.
 By forklift, pickup, transport, load and unload all types of heavy and medium weight containers,
boxes, cans, jigs, gearboxes, rotor heads, aircraft components, blades, fixtures, loaded pallets, etc.
 Load and/or unload transport vehicles at the shipping and receiving docks, transportation aprons,
whirl stand, and various outside storage areas.
 Assist in loading and unloading operations at off plant locations.
 Occasionally assist the maintenance department personnel in the performance of rigging operations.
 Make daily preventative maintenance check of equipment.
 Handle paperwork related to materials being moved.
 Occasionally move average weight items using hands or electric truck.
 If flow of work permits, may be assigned a variety of skilled and unskilled tasks.
 Responsible for the loading, unloading, transportation, and general handling of aircraft blades.
 Occasionally modify transport containers to accommodate aircraft blades.
 Use of the proper material handling devices is extremely important to ensure employee safety and
minimize part damage.
 Work of group involves maintaining the flow of parts and materials between manufacturing
departments.
 Move parts and materials between departments, process all pertinent paperwork, handle all priority
items as expeditiously as possible, and work closely with all affected departments to facilitate
material control functions.
 Perform operator checklist as required.
 Contribute to the overall effectiveness of equipment by performing operator required upkeep.
 Follow all rules and regulations pertaining to environmental health and safety.
 Segregate waste material and follow good housekeeping practices.
 Refer only unusual conditions to supervisor
Basic Qualifications:
Have a basic knowledge of handling sensitive equipment (IBIS Training).
Requires short specialized training in the operation of forklifts.
Must have motor vehicle operator's license.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
