South MississippiRegional Center is a program of the Mississippi Department of Mental Health providing care and support for people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. We are currently seeking individuals who are energetic and compassionate team players and motivators for direct support positions at all of our locations. Each position at South Mississippi Regional Center is an important and impactful role that provides our individuals with the appropriate level of care to meet their social, emotional, physical, and personal needs.
WORK LOCATION: LONG BEACH CAMPUS
PAY: $17,989.94 Annual $8.64 PER HOUR
SCHEDULE/SHIFTS: Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday - Thursday
SCHEDULES - 6:00AM to 2:30PM, 12:00PM to 8:30PM

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for preparing and serving food items to persons in a cottage setting according to menu, required amounts, and established standards. Complies with sanitation and safety guidelines to ensure work areas, appliances, and utensils are kept clean and orderly. Performs custodial work, cleans up kitchen and dining room after serving.
Follows regulations and procedures concerning food safety and sanitation. Follows proper procedures for checking and cleaning serving equipment and utensils. The duties are performed in accordance with specific assignments under direct supervision.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must possess proof of graduation from standard 4-year high school or equivalent (GED or High School Equivalency Diploma) and a minimum of one year of experience related to food service work. Hospital or long term care food service preferred.
