ECU Health Duplin Hospital is an 81-bed facility located in Kenansville, North Carolina. The 15-bed emergency department serves approximately 25,000 patients per year. In addition to providing general medical and surgical services, ECU Health Duplin Hospital offers chemotherapy and other cancer infusion interventions and has earned national designation as a Primary Stroke Center.

Position Summary

The Food Service Tech II provides direction for all catering functions and provides support to Food and Nutrition Manager in all aspects of the department for a smooth flow. Maintains organized office with supplies and keeps files well organized. Processes invoices for payment and files invoices and vendor information.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates safe operation of all equipment in compliance with department policy, safety, disinfection, infection
• control and quality control standards.
• Exhibits pleasant and cheerful demeanor and maintains a helpful attitude towards employees, physicians, patients and visitors.
• Communicates any patient or customer related problems to appropriate personnel.
• Maintains organized office with office supplies, keeps files organized and up to date.
• Maintains accurate vendor records and files and contacts vendors as needed if problems should arise.
• Processes invoices for payment and statistical data in an accurate and efficient manner. Create and send out outside account receivable invoices for payment. Imports data into efinance.
• Keeps catering book organized. Receives all incoming catering to the department. Transfers catering to back office weekly to be completed.
• Coordinates all catering events.
• Complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures, ensure department protocols are adhered to appropriately
• Completes all daily, weekly or monthly reports and procedures as determined by management on a timely basis meeting all prescribed deadlines.
• Identifies and utilizes cleaning chemicals following directions recommended by manufacturers and per MSDS sheets.

Minimum Requirements

• Basic Skill Set or higher

Preferred Requirements

• High School or Equivalent (GED)- or higher

Other Information

• PRN (as needed)
• Available hours will be between 6:30am - 6:30pm
• May include 4, 8 or 12 hour shifts
• Every other weekend
• Individual will be responsible for serving our patients bedside.
• Individual must be nice, courteous and willing to learn.
