Koch’s Turkey Farm (“Koch’s”), located in the Lewistown Valley near Tamaqua, Pennsylvania, is seeking a full-time Food Safety & Quality Assurance (“FSQA”) Team Member for its first shift operations.

Koch’s is a vertically integrated, family-owned poultry production and processing facility and is a leader in the All Natural, Antibiotic Free, and Organic Poultry industry. Founded in 1939, Koch’s is in its fourth generation of family management and is a sound, rapidly growing poultry business.

The FSQA Team Member is responsible for the diligent execution and monitoring of the Company's Food Safety & Quality Assurance requirements.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for the Vendor Management Program to assure all vendors of Koch’s Turkey Farm meet our standards and expectations.
• Be a member of the Food Security team and attend monthly meetings as well as providing input on security issues.
• Responsible for the plant traceability program to assure product can be traced forward and back including packaging.
• Act as back up for vacation/illness for the Slaughter quality control technician (training will be provided).
• Monitor and enforce plant good manufacturing practices (GMP) on the production floor.
• Coach employees when necessary.
• Perform mid-shift operational GMP checks, condensation checks.
• Perform, verify, and document all plant HACCP CCP’s and QC standard checks.
• Maintain all documentation for auditing purposes.
• Perform allergen swab testing as needed.
• Initiate corrective action reports for non-conformances and communicate to relevant staff.
• Other tasks may be assigned as needed by the QA Manager.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of QA Experience
• A strong pattern of achievement and leadership
• Must be able to work in ERPs, Microsoft Office Suite, and various mobile applications
• Experience dealing with compliance representatives
