WorldCare Pet Transport is a leading pet transport company based in Darien, CT that relocates furry family members for customers throughout the world. We seek a diligent and detail-oriented individual to monitor the flights of pets after our normal business hours, and issue updates to pet parents on the status of their pets at crucial points in their travel. This is a wonderful, work-from-home freelance opportunity for a person who loves pets, is meticulous with details and available to work as needed from midnight to 8 a.m. daily. Training will be in-person for several weeks during normal business hours so please do not apply if you are not in CT or in nearby NY.

The Flight Updates Assistant prepares e-mail correspondence and digital postcards to provide families with updates on their pets while in transit. This involves monitoring flights (and at times ground transportation), and issuing updates at points in a pet's journey, such as airport check-in, transfers, arrivals, delivery, etc. This is an important communications role because it informs families about their cherished pets as they make their way home.

This work-at-home opportunity pays $23 per hour and requires a computer at home to monitor flights and communicate with our customers and pet relocation counselors. You will conduct these updates after our normal business hours, starting at midnight daily and continuing until 8 a.m. as determined by flight schedules. We will provide access to work remotely after a short period of on-site training at our offices in Darien, CT.

You will not be working those entire hours: you will be given the docket of flights to monitor each week, and you will bill the company for the hours worked which are estimated between 20-30 hours weekly.

* Highly dependable and detail-oriented individual ideally situated in close proximity to our Darien, CT office for training. We will only consider applicants that are locally based ideally in Fairfield County, CT due to on-site training requirements.

* 1-2 years of customer service skills ideal but not required

* Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook and PowerPoint particularly)

* Two years of college - Associates degree

* Availability to monitor flights and issue updates after 8 p.m. through the night/overnight hours, as dictated by flight schedules. You will be given advanced notice of the dates and times of upcoming pet moves.

* Strong communication skills both written and verbal

* Updates occur throughout the year, however, the peak season is summer - must have the ability to perform updates after-hours in the summertime as well

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
