- Oversee the repair and maintenance operations for all bobtails, tractor and trailers
- Develop/implement/monitor adherence to policies and procedures; answer telephone correspondence; interview employee candidates; prepare employee evaluations
- Coordinate vehicle concerns and issues with vendors
- Run/analyze productivity and operational reports through Routing Software
- Route daily using Routing Software
- Work with dispatch to ensure accuracy of assignment of routes
- Research and develop specifications for vehicles, equipment and supplies
- Review and monitor vehicle replacement schedule.
- Negotiate repairs with vendors
- Maintain equipment and driver records in accordance with federal, state and local laws, policy or regulation
- Engage with employees by conducting monthly tailgate sessions and quarterly safety meetings
- Collaborate with other departments throughout the company
- Monitor and manage employee overtime; address and present solutions to aid in overtime management
- Ensure driver success through relationship building, effective communication, positive recognition and timely addressing of issues (personal and performance related)
- Assist/coach drivers on time management issues, i.e., departure times, driving time management to ensure on-time delivery
- Conduct accident/incident interviews with drivers
- Ensure compliance with Hours-of-Service regulations and other DOT mandates
- Other duties as assigned

- Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite program
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Preferred)
- Familiarity with industry’s rules and regulations
- Highly organized
- Prioritization skills
- Professional attitude
- Bachelor Degree (Preferred)
- Inventory control experience
- Minimum of 5 years of distribution experience (Required)
Schedule/Shift: Monday through Friday
Salary: $69,000 - $70,000 range.
