McKenzie County Healthcare Systems has an exciting opportunity open for a As-Needed Basis (PRN) Fitness Trainer/Instructor at the Connie Wold Wellness Center. The Fitness Trainer/instructor will be responsible for developing and instructing fitness classes for members and providing instruction and class programs for all levels and abilities. The Fitness trainer will provide members and customers with orientation and assistance in the use of wellness center equipment and train existing and new clients with personal fitness goals. They will be responsible for leading group fitness classes, helping clients with their workouts and advising them about important safety concerns.

Duties and Responsibilities:

    Supervise the floor to build member relationships and monitor safety.
    Provide individual and group exercise instruction; educates participants on proper techniques to maximize exercise safety and effectiveness.
    Assists with the development and/or delivery of a variety of Health/Fitness and program-specific health improvement programs
    Promotes program offerings and conducts outreach activities to increase participation, re-engage inactive members and acquire new members.
    Other duties as needed/assigned

Skills and Abilities:

    Personal training certification a plus
    Experience in personal training or group fitness instruction
    Motivational coaching style
    Ability to promote a healthy lifestyle

REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:

    Must be 16 years of age.
    Maintains physical fitness trainer/class certifications as required.
