First Line of Defense Strategy & Marketing Risk and Compliance Manager

Act as the liaison for Strategy and Marketing; working with these areas to coordinate risk, compliance, audit, regulatory, and control initiatives. Liaison to digital, Retail, Lending, S3 and OTS as needed related to Marketing products as well as language on website and app.
Manage the documentation, review, approval, and maintenance of all applicable policies and procedures for the Strategy and Marketing areas.
Manage and participate in audits / audits requests, exam requests, process mapping, risk assessments, model validation, risk appetite (key risk indicators), risk reporting, and compliance testing requests for the Strategy and Marketing areas.

Establish and coordinate first line divisional quality assurance and control testing programs; ensuring all key controls are documented and periodically tested for control design and operating effectiveness.
Manage reportable events (issues incidents, and losses) and member complaints for the corporate division, including self-reporting, root cause analysis, action planning, resolution, and documentation.
Coordinate efforts with the second and third lines of defense functions under the guidance of the Chief Risk Officer and Chief Legal Counsel.
Manage all submissions to legal and compliance teams including but not limited to contracts, creative, content, landing pages, ad copy, campaigns, sweepstakes, and list criteria. Act as liaison between the two departments. Provide guidance and education to Marketing teams as well as to legal/compliance teams.
Represent Strategy and Marketing in various oversight committees, taskforces, and working groups; including but not limited to the 3 Lines of Defense Working Group, Reportable Events Review Meeting, Enterprise Risk Management Committee (non-voting member), Bethpage and Consortium project teams impacting the Strategy and Marketing areas.
Create Marketing process for organization and saving of documents need for aforementioned requests. Ensure all Marketing team members are educated and adhering too process.
Experience
Required- 5 year(s): 5+ years’ experience in risk and compliance in marketing in a financial institution.
