Job Title: Fire Sprinkler Helper

Location: Dumfries & Fredericksburg, VA

Well established and growing fire sprinkler contractor looking for a full-time fire sprinkler installation/service helpers to work in the Washington DC metro area. Will train and enroll in apprenticeship program.

Responsibilities:

• Assist foreman/service technician with cutting, threading and grooving pipe
• Learn to read blue prints and diagrams related to field installations
• Have some hand tools to work in field
• Help foreman/service technician hang pipe in field
• Maintain safe and clean work areas
• Inspect, test and maintain fire sprinkler systems
• Use and care for personal protective equipment
• Follow established safety protocol and VOSCHA standards per training
• Load and unload materials, tools and equipment on job sites

Experience & Skills Desired:

• No experience required
• Work in a team environment
• Be able to work to deadlines with some OT
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read, write and comprehend required
• Basic computer knowledge
• Detailed oriented
• Communicate effectively with co-workers
