Job Title: Sr. Financial Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis
Reports to: Director of Financial Planning and Analysis
CareMetx is seeking an experienced healthcare finance professional to join the finance organization as an Analyst. As Sr. Financial Analyst, you will develop insightful analysis, provide guidance on budgeting/reforecasting, and support pricing for Request for Proposals (RFP) or other pricing needs.
In collaboration with a cross-functional team, the Sr. Financial Analyst will support updating revenue/cost projections, lead company-wide and departmental reporting, help solution and price new and existing business, and model the financial impacts of business changes.
Keys to success in this role include understanding how to model company profitability, building and maintaining a budget, and understanding the key levers that drive profitability at the client level. A high proficiency with excel is required. Sage Intacct and/or Vena experience is preferred but not required.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Revenue/Cost Projections
Work with key business leaders, including C-suite/VP-level to understand changes in client revenues and/or cost changes
Update rosters to model impacts of changing labor costs for cost projections
Identify relationships between accounting line items and key drivers
Pricing/Solution Development
Support pricing new business from an array of product offerings
Understand the gross profit and target margins for various products/services
Develop solutions that allow us to price accurately while ensuring client profitability
Translation from pricing model to RFP templates ensuring accuracy
Budgeting
Support the development of the annual operational and financial budgets required to achieve strategic goals
Own the financial reprojection process, including monthly EBITDA reprojections
Build visualizations to help tell the story of headwinds/tailwinds in the business
Reporting
Own the monthly consolidation process for company-wide financial reports and explain variances from the original budget to actuals and the key drivers
Develop departmental financial reports and explain variances
Own the Monthly Operating Report that includes financial statements and variance explanations, key financial metrics, sales pipeline, and goal tracking across departments
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
1-3 years of finance experience, preferably within the healthcare space
Bachelor’s Degree in business, Finance, or Economics
Excel modeling in both an operational and financial capacity
MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Deep knowledge of finance and financial concepts
Ability to maintain a keen attention to detail work, well under pressure, and ability to meet deadlines
Desire to work across the organization to meet with key leaders to gain insights
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
