Zinda Law Group, a rapidly growing, elite personal injury law firm, is looking for a Finance Manager to join our growing Austin office! The Finance Manager will help oversee the financial operations of the firm and lead and manage the Firm’s Finance Team as we continue to grow and expand ensuring best practices are adhered to, all Firm financial reporting and reconciliation is completed and accurate, the Budget and Outlook processes are performed with excellence, banking relationships are cultivated, and we are performing at the highest level possible. This role is built for a servant leader, not just supervising, but working towards excellence alongside their time every day. This is a permanent, full-time position that will work in our Austin office with some flexibility to work remotely on occasion.

As a Finance Manager, you will:
- Oversee and handle all fundamental aspects of the firm’s financial management
- Generate financial data and compile and submit reports to executive team
- Review current policies and create new policies
- Create strategic business plans based on the Firm’s financial forecasts
- Lead and manage staff accountants, bookkeepers and overseas/contracted finance team members
- Provide recommendations to enhance financial performance
- Spot check work of account team
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities
- Manage the process for budget and forecast preparations (Monthly, Quarterly, and Annually)
- Responsible for Month-end, Quarter-end, and Year-end Close and Reconciliation Process
- Pay bills and maintain ledgers
- Receive, approve and/or decline invoices
- Code payables for accounts payable entries
- Responsible to maintain and cultivate financial institution/banking relationships
- Make bank deposits and receipts of money
- Reconcile bank accounts
- Assure expenditures are in accordance with code balances for item acquisition
- Supervise payroll and payroll reports
- Establish and maintain cash flow and expense projections
- Create and maintain multiple reports for the firm
- Manage outside CPA
- Analyze planning and reporting processes and make recommendations for improvement
- Responsible for Firm taxes in coordination with contracted CPA and hired consultants
We are looking for a Finance Manager with the following qualities:
- At least 5+ years’ experience
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit and servant leader
- Strong understanding of accounting concepts, financial reporting standards and best practices
- Excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft products, especially excel
- Strong leadership skills
- Experience with bookkeeping accounting programs, such as Quickbooks, Sage Timeslips, etc.
- Highly motivated with strong analytical, computer and oral/written communication skills
- Strong problem solver
- Ability to take varied projects with competing deadlines to completion in a fluid environment. Specifically able to multi-task and prioritize well
- Detail-oriented; organized; self-starter
- Flexible, creative, trustworthy, and positive attitude
College Degree Required - Prefer bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
