Overview:
Berk-Tek, a Leviton Company, is looking for
final packaging operators to join their copper network cable manufacturing operations in New Holland, PA!
In this role you could be responsible for operating packaging equipment and preparing customer orders for shipment.
Starting pay of $20.60 and up based on experience. Shift premium of $1.25 for working night shift.
Desirable shift schedules! 12-hour workdays on overnight shift (7 pm – 7 am).
- Week 1: 2 days on, 3 days off, 2 days on
- Week 2: 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off
- Package and label wire for stock and shipments, print out and label customer part numbers
- Meet all production and quality standards
- Cable test prior to respool if necessary, cut out any obvious quality defects in the cable
- Use the computer for labels, master information, process sheets, and to report production
- Read and comprehend shop floor paperwork including masters, process sheets, and SOPs
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend documents provided to operator machines printed in English.
- Basic math skills, required
- Ability to operate a computer, required
- Ability to communicate effectively with various employees throughout the facility
- Ability to work in both a team environment and as an individual contributor
- High School Diploma or GED, required
- Previous experience in a manufacturing facility or machine operator position, preferred
