Job Purpose

A Field Service Specialist establishes and executes autonomously determined best practice procedures to deliver and ensure the highest standard of customer service for both internal and external customers. This standard requires meticulous attention to detail, comprehensive account ownership, steadfast poise, and resolute determination and ensures accurate, on-time delivery of products and services per individual account requirements. The Field Service Specialist position facilitates and supports all service activity for Corporate Service Accounts in collaboration with its assigned Account Managers. All tasks, activities, and responsibilities assigned to the Specialists are essential components of the overall efficacy of individual account management and directly impact the ultimate success of the Motive Power Service business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment when dealing with critical matters within the department. Administer, control, and maintain all contract documentation for key accounts.
  • Provide day-to-day contact, support, and communication between customers, personnel, National Accounts, Sales Teams, and Field Service Coordinators at Enersys locations.
  • Coordinate field service activities for key accounts.
  • Support all inside sales and service activities for the National Account and Sales teams including order entry, order acknowledgment, order status, and updates to the customer.
  • Work directly with customer personnel to facilitate schedules, material requirements, change orders, tracking of shipments, and lead time for total customer satisfaction.
  • Provide total support to field locations and manufacturing facilities on inquiries in order to obtain a resolution of issues and have the ability to understand the manufacturing process, production planning, sales, and financial effort.
  • Liaise with the accounts department in relation to customers with credit or invoice issues.
  • Manage third-party portals for dispatching and invoicing when account requires.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years experience in an office environment in a customer service role or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiar with using Baan and Salesforce.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.

  • Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.
