Hypower has an opportunity for a Field Operations Manager in our Service and Special Projects Division to join our team!

Hypower is one of the largest electrical contractors in Florida with multiple offices throughout the state. This is an extremely fast-paced position that requires the ability to multi-task in dealing with employees, clients, scheduling, and administrative items.

The Field Operations Manager oversees all field labor throughout the state of Florida. This includes hiring, training, and scheduling both daily and long term on all jobs regardless of duration. This includes all labor in the field including Service Techs, Foreman, Electricians, Apprentices, and Temp Labor. They will help to create and oversee the implementation of best practices with the goal of increasing efficiency and operational effectiveness. They will have a direct interaction between field personnel and office personnel and management and promote the harmony necessary to be effective for each individual job. This is a full-time position in our Fort Lauderdale office.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years experience in field operations management is required.
• An extremely motivated self-starter with strong managerial and leadership abilities.
• Experience in building, leading and optimizing a strong team.
• You will need to have strong organizational and time management skills while multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate between field and office personnel.
• Must have strong electrical experience with extensive knowledge of both NEC and OSHA to problem-solve and support your team. (masters or journeyman s license preferred)
• Customer relations skills are a must in expanding and maintaining house account client base while continuing to focus on our core values.
• Highly skilled abilities in computer use and new industry software (Microsoft, Spectrum, Top Builder, Service Tech, Smart Sheets, Procore, Accubid, and Bluebeam).
• Some in-state travel may be required

Responsibilities

• Schedule all manpower in multiple offices on a daily basis.
• Conduct interviews and hiring to Hypower standards.
• Assists in the onboarding process and oversee training of all new field personnel.
• Maintain training for all existing field personnel.
• Implement and oversee tracking of all safety training while maintaining divisional compliance as well as enforcing best practices and standard operating procedures
• Oversee vehicle GPS systems on divisional equipment and vehicle maintenance tracking. Comparative audits of provided fleet fuel system reports.
• Oversee all divisional equipment issues and forward recommendations to Division Manager for approval.
• Provide emergency response and operational support for incoming daily service work and 24/7 emergency work to insure quick implementation and resolution.
• Schedules and leads meetings with field personnel to provide updated divisional training and updates
• Review with administrative personnel various financial and efficiency reports concerning divisional field issues.
• Perform other managerial and operational duties as necessary.
