Career Opportunity: Family Nurse Practitioner with The HealthCare Connection
The HealthCare Connection is currently seeking a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner to provide medical care to adult patients at our Lincoln Heights location.
We are a National Health Service Corps (NHSC) approved site eligible for application to federal and state loan repayment and scholarship opportunities.

The mission of The HealthCare Connection is to provide quality, culturally sensitive and accessible whole person-centered care, including primary health and basic oral services for the underserved, uninsured and underinsured of Northern Hamilton County. We are the first federally qualified health center (FQHC) in the state of Ohio and one of the earliest established in the entire United States. The HealthCare Connection teams with other agencies in order to meet the complete needs of patients and is proud to be one of five health centers nationally honored as “Models That Work” by the United States Department of Health and Human Services in 1995. In 2002, the Ohio Association of Community Health Centers gave THCC the Landmark Recognition Award for pioneering work in community health. After over fifty years of service, today we remain a leader in providing affordable, quality care to all ages and cultures, and have been recognized as a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) through the NCQA.
Position Overview:
While supporting the vision, mission and core values of the organization, this professional works as part of the overall clinical provider team by performing a variety of direct patient services.
Ideal candidates will possess:
- Active Ohio Family Nurse Practitioner License is required.
- Strongly prefer at least 3 years of Nurse Practitioner experience in Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or other community health setting. Demonstrated clinical skills through hospital or private physician practice can also be applied.
- Ability to work as a team with clinical staff and across our entire organization.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information and relate to persons from diverse educational, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds.
- Fluency in Spanish helpful but not required.
