Family Engagement Specialist/Caseworker will work closely with the Preventive Services Department, contracting County Department of Social Services, and family members to successfully carry out the Family Engagement Specialist portion of contract requirements. The Family Engagement Specialist is particularly a neutral party that facilitates Family Team Meetings (as defined by contract.). The role of the Family Engagement Specialist is to pre-plan with the family, their resources and identified service providers to explore all perspectives of individuals invested in the family. They will also provide neutral services to clients while facilitating Family Team Meetings and assisting families by helping to articulate family driven goals and providing needed information within the confines of the meeting. The Family Engagement Specialist will foster a cooperative environment in order to encourage all attendees to have an open and honest conversation about the safety, permanency and well -being of the children. This person works closely in partnership with the families, foster families, County workers and other community partners. Overall, the Family Engagement Specialist/Caseworker contributes to the Glove House high performance culture by exhibiting our values and providing quality results that keep Glove House as the premier provider of child, family and behavioral health solutions.
All degrees must be from an accredited university.
- Related Bachelors degree preferred, Bachelors degree required
Minimum 3+ years experience working with children and families in residential, group, or counseling child welfare capacity
- Must have a valid driver's license.
