Job description
Tipton High School is seeking candidates for Family Consumer Science/FCCLA Sponsor. Courses of instruction to be taught include:
- Culinary Arts
- Baking Arts
- Human Development
- Coffee House
Tipton has an active FCCLA program. Students design and arrange approximately three public events each year. These events have included pie baking, Halloween parties for elementary students and their families, kid cooking classes, etc. (Extra Curricular Stipend)
PLC is strongly supported by staff and administration. Tipton utilizes standard base grading.
Additional opportunities to work with students in grades 7-12 are available for athletic and non-athletic extracurricular activities if desired. Qualified candidates must have or the ability to obtain Iowa teaching licensure and also have authorization to work in the United States. To apply, please complete the Teach Iowa application.
Tipton is a community in close proximity to Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, and the Quad Cities. We are the county seat of Cedar County with a small-town atmosphere but easy access to larger urban opportunities.
