Fabrication Technician -
Reports To: Plant Superintendent

Position Overview:
Kreysler & Associates’ Green Island facility is looking for an experienced fabricator to join our team and support our newly developed and proprietary fabrication process. We are looking for employees interested in team-based manufacturing and a willingness to learn. Each step of our process is highly critical to the success of the project overall; making attention to detail, commitment to the duration of the project, and consistency in attendance essential. Preference will be given to those with prior manufacturing, lamination, hand, and power tool experience.
As a fabrication technician you will have the opportunity to be placed at any position of our fabrication process allowing you to learn new skills and become part of a team contributing to the cutting edge of architectural composites.

Requirements/Skills:

● Ability to communicate effectively with team members
● Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
● Punctuality, good attendance, dependability and positive attitude
● Must have reliable transportation
● Must be a self-starter and be able to demonstrate initiative
● Must be able to frequently lift 50+ lbs and spend all day on feet
● Experience with handling of hand/power tools etc.
● 2+ years of experience with lamination
● Attention to detail and ability to self-inspect work to ensure minimal quality defects
● Ability to take direction well and aiming to deliver timely and efficient service

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

● Assembling molds based on technical diagrams
● Preparing mold surfaces for lamination
● Cutting and preparing material kits
● Performing fiberglass laminations
● Batching and mixing lamination materials
● Sanding, sandblasting, and patching
● Trimming and grinding
● Positing and aligning parts and materials
● Basic assembly of crates and fixtures for storage
● Loading and unloading deliveries
● Use of woodworking equipment
