Fabrication Project Coordinator
Swagelok Pittsburgh is searching for an energetic Fabrication Project Coordinator to join our team just north of Pittsburgh! We deliver build-to-order solutions for our customers in a variety of industries including: Oil & Gas, Chemical & Refining, Research & Development, Steelmaking and Power Generation. In this role, you will work closely with our design/build team and provide essential support to effectively move projects through our climate controlled fab shop.
This newly created position provides an excellent opportunity to develop real-world business and manufacturing knowledge in a supportive and dynamic environment. You will receive training and certifications to perform a variety of fab shop operations along with comprehensive product training. As your familiarity with our products and business practices progresses, you will have the opportunity to influence the areas in which you contribute to our overall business success.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Create and edit bills of materials using our CAD and business software systems
- Cost estimation for fab shop projects
- Obtain quotations from Swagelok factory and 3rd party suppliers
- Assist in scheduling and planning to ensure steady workflow
- Ensure project files and documentation (including as-built drawings) are accurate and complete
- Provide fab shop support as required

What you will need to succeed at Swagelok Pittsburgh:
- 1-5 years experience in a shop environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude (experience with fluid systems is a plus)
- Ability to work both independently and in a close team environment
- Excellent attention to detail, ability to effectively multitask and strong organizational skills
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- A problem-solving mindset and a desire to develop your business acumen
- Exemplify professionalism and initiative, with a ‘roll up your sleeves’ attitude
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office software
- Experience with SAP or SolidWorks a plus
