Eyeware Stylist/Optometric Receptionist

Skyline Vision Care is looking to add a new full-time frame stylist to our team!

This position is where fashion and function come together. Using fashion, fit and personality you will bring prescription numbers to life!

Prior experience in eye care is not required, but must have a fun, enthusiastic personality and the willingness and ability to learn. Experience in fashion or retail is a plus. Must have a great work ethic and excellent customer service skills.

We are a growing, fast-paced, fashion forward, single-doctor private practice optometry office that has been serving Elkhorn since 2017. We have wonderful relationships with our patients who we treat like an extension of our family. We value team members who have a passion for providing an exceptional customer experience and work well within a small team environment. Hours are Monday through Friday.

Basic Function:

This position assists and educates patients with their selection of eyeglass frames.

Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions

• Provide an exceptional patient experience from the time they enter the practice until the time they leave.
• Assist and educate patients with the selection of frames, lenses, and lens enhancements based on the patient's prescription and specific needs as prescribed by the doctor.
• Process eyeglasses, which includes pricing to patients, measuring, collecting money, coding and documenting patient charts.
• Dispensing and adjusting eyewear, frame styling and sales, filing vision insurance claims, and ordering and inspecting eyewear
• Perform a variety of office administrative duties.
• Prior experience is not necessary as we are willing to train someone with great customer service skills, an enthusiastic personality and the ability to learn quickly.

• Ability to sell and service eyeglasses and products with a commitment to provide excellent customer service.
• Problem solving skills that enhance patient satisfaction while maintaining composure and offering appropriate assistance.
• Extremely efficient, organized and resourceful.
• Must be flexible and able to function well in a fast-paced environment with great interpersonal skills to deal with many personalities.
• Strong decision-making skills
• Shall be able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate with patients and other staff members.
• Ability to pay attention to detail.

• Sales and/or strong customer service experience.

• Experience answering phones.

Required education:

• High school or equivalent

Benefits:

• Starting pay $18-22/hr. Potential higher starting pay based on experience.
