Job description
The Extrusion Supervisor is responsible for creating a healthy culture, leading their associates, and providing technical support as needed. They will drive continuous improvement through teamwork and the healthy challenge process while ensuring the highest level of safety in all aspects of the department. The Extrusion Supervisor will provide effective coaching, feedback, and discipline to develop a cohesive team of effective operators.

Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Demonstrated ability to coach, provide feedback, and hold associates accountable
- Demonstrated ability to run and troubleshoot blown film lines
- Ability to use tools within the Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to climb and descend stairs
- Desire to work in a team environment focused on driving continuous improvement
- Willingness to take ownership of personal safety and safety of the team
Job Description:
- Provide leadership to meet or exceed key performance metrics in safety, waste, quality, and productivity
- Communicates and provides guidance for human resource practices and procedures which include hiring, training, performance management, associate appraisals, development, recognition and other related policies and practices
- Train and coach production associates and help develop training procedures
- Ensure product quality and operate within the established standards
- Ensures that production reports and job jackets are neat, complete, and accurate to maintain traceability
- Maintains a clean and safe working area, leads others to improving and maintaining standards
- Perform quality tests as needed
- Review and approve daily production and waste reporting
- Ensure inventory cycle counting is accurate and completed in a timely manner
- Perform regular process checks and maintenance functions
- Update and maintain loss accounting workbook to support continuous improvement efforts
- Collaborate closely with the Operators and communicate daily performance issues
- Lead and facilitate process improvement teams
- Collaborate with plant leadership to achieve overall plant objectives
Skills and Qualifications:
- Can proficiently operate and trouble shoot blown film machines and processes
- Coordinate the efficient execution of all changeovers and weekly PMs
- Experience with JDE ERP System is preferred but not required
- Function as a change agent in developing a positive culture focused on continuous improvement
- Ability and willingness to train, teach, and coach others
- Able to identify resins, films and understand physical/mechanical properties of materials and their impact on the overall material function
