The Microtel Inn & Suites South Hill is accepting applications and interviewing for Experienced Hotel Housekeeping Attendants. Previous Branded Hotel Housekeeping experience of at least 1 year is required.

Our core value is to provide each and every one of our guests all the comforts of home with a clean and welcoming home away from home. Our valued team members will be required to interact with our guests daily to ensure that our team has done everything we can to make sure our guests have had the best stay!

QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential:

1. Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English or other language with management to the extent of their understanding.

2. Ability to adhere to the hotel’s dress code.

Desirable

1. One (1) year prior experience in cleaning hotel guest rooms.

2. Prior guest relations training.

3. Knowledge of proper chemical handling.

4. High School graduate or equivalent vocational training.

SKILLS:

Essential:

1. Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision.

2. Ability to exert physical effort in being able to clean 18 rooms per shift.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.

2. Clean guest rooms by category priority.

3. Transport cart with cleaning supplies, amenities, and linens to assigned guest room and position securely.

4. Service assigned guest rooms.

5. Able to meet the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

6. Work as part of a team in a potentially busy environment with accuracy

To keep our staff and guests as safe as possible the hotel requires Masks in all public Spaces by everyone. The AHLA/CDC Protocols are followed at all time. Sanitizer is available all over the hotel
