The Parts Counter Person is a professional and personable individual who is knowledgeable in the automotive space. He or she communicates clearly between the customers and the parts staff. Applicant needs to be able to look up and order the correct parts.
What we're looking for:
- 5+ Years Experience on a parts counter with a domestic or import car dealership
- CDK or Reynolds Experience
- Motivated individual
- Team player
- Great customer service experience
- Ford experience preferred
- Bi-lingual a plus!
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Meet and assist technicians, Service Advisors and retail guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Accurately price parts and accessories and post properly on the computer system.
- Oversee the automotive parts sales process from customer inquiry to finding the part to invoicing the customer.
- Work with parts manager to locate any parts, not in stock.
- Complete special-order part request for any parts that need to be ordered for the customer.
- Communicate with the Automotive Service Department, Sales Department and Retail Customers on any parts ordered and notify them upon delivery to the dealership.
- Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Must follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Provide clients with needed information and offer additional vehicle sales opportunities.
- Answer phone calls and emails as quickly and efficiently as possible.
- Set up orders for shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
- Other tasks as assigned by Management.
Requirements for this job:
- Strong customer service.
- Knowledgeable of automotive parts.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Computer literacy – (Internet, MS Office).
- Working Conditions:
This is a physically demanding position. Will move throughout the parts shelves all day, reaching and climbing to obtain parts from inventory. Will stand six to eight hours during a shift at the customer counter. When delivering parts to the service department, will be exposed to noise, dust, exhaust fumes, paint and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
