JOB TITLE: Sous Chef

REPORTS TO: Executive CHef

Sous Chef Responsibilities:

  • Work under the executive as the second in command
  • Up to date Certification for Food Managers
  • Able to deligate work to employees, Prepping Plate Presentation, cleaning weekly of working stations
  • Some knowledge of Gluten free, vegan, vegetarian
  • Prepare regular and special diet foods according to prescribed menus and recipes, using standard food preparation utensils such as knives, spoons, tongs and whips
  • Follow established schedules in cooking, baking, sanitation, and related activities and properly measure cooking recipes utilizing the standardized metric system.
  • Determine proper cooking time and temperature and operate power driven equipment such as meat slicer or mixer
  • Comprehend and make inferences from materials writtne in English with the ability to give written and oral instructions
  • Interact with service staff to snsure that all guest needs are met and in inform them of items available or unavailable for service.
  • Conduct orientation and training programs in the areas of safety and sanitation procedures, food preparation, etc.
  • Ensure proper protion, arrangement and food garnish for every meal
  • Perform related duties such as developing new or modified recipes, advising management on practical applications of preplanned menus and participating in menu planning
  • Clean work are and equipment using broom, mop, and sponge, cleaning solution or other appropriate tool or material
  • Store food properly and safely, marking the date and item name
  • Report equipment repair and maintenance to Executive Chef and work safely without presenting a direct threat to the incumbent or other
  • Report to shifts with proper uniform and grooming according to Royal Wood golf & Country Club standards and policies
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work process and work cooperativley and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
