PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The Executive Ministry Assistant’s primary responsibility is to provide ministry support to the Executive Pastor assisting in any manner that will help make their ministry work be as fruitful as possible. This position is a non-exempt full-time hourly position.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Gives Ministry Away
  • Assists the Executive Pastor with daily administrative duties and completes a broad variety of administrative tasks that include completing expense reports; composing and preparing correspondence; arranging travel plans, itineraries and agendas and compiling documents for meetings
  • Organizes meetings including scheduling, sending reminders, recording meeting minutes, and organizing catering when necessary
  • Assists and supports the Executive Pastor in preparing for meetings, including preparing meeting materials, keeping track of meeting progress and follow up items, and preparing and revising correspondence
  • Maintains calendar and appointment scheduling and works with Executive Pastor to effectively manage time.
  • Works closely and effectively with the Executive Pastor to keep him well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately
  • Screens and directs phone calls, and appropriately relays important information promptly, clearly maintaining confidentiality
  • Opens, distributes, reads/handles mail and emails as requested or required
  • Manages sensitive matters with a high level of confidentiality and discretion
  • Plans, coordinates, organizes and helps with various Northview initiatives, meetings, events, and celebrations
  • Helps with additional projects as needed
  • Responds to emails and voicemails within 24 hours
  • Shows commitment to cultural values

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position works with volunteers and must have an understanding that volunteers are key to the ministry of the church, The employee must have a heart to recruit, train, equip and support volunteers in fulfilling their roles.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree plus five years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Related experience includes work as an Executive Assistant and Management Support.
