Job description
We are looking for an experienced Executive Housekeeper who will be responsible for directing and administering all Housekeeping operations. The ideal candidate will be a collaborator and can take direction from the General Manager with a “can do” attitude and consistently maintain the highest level of standards of service and overall efficiency of the hotel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Attend training and arrange for specific training for housekeeping staff as needed.
- Supervise Assistant to the Executive Housekeeper and offer direction with tasks as needed.
- Attend weekly staff meeting with hall staffs.
- Provide on-going feedback and evaluation regarding employee job performance.
- Performing a quality check of all rooms.
- Meeting daily with management to discuss schedule and tasks needing completion.
- Develop a system to order supplies and track inventory.
- Inspect rooms for readiness before guest check-in.
- Study and know the lay out of the building and where the fire system, breakers, sprinkler shut-off and other important equipment are located.
- Report custodial/maintenance problems to the proper sources.
- Present a positive and professional image of the hotel at all times.
- Maintain a positive and responsive attitude to the needs of management and the housekeeping staff.
- Serve as a referral/information source as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.

- Must have basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, use of cleaning products, and operation of standard cleaning equipment.
- Must have experience and working knowledge of customer service techniques and principles.
- Must be proficient with and have complete knowledge of required hotel cleanliness standards and active procedures.
- Must be professional, reliable, and punctual.
- Must be both alert and safety conscious.
- Must possess the ability to work in a dynamic and diverse environment.
- Must possess the ability to work with a variety of individuals and in cooperation with coworkers efficiently and effectively.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma preferred but not required.
- Up to three years of extensive, hands-on experience in the housekeeping profession.
