    Executive Director, Federal Programs


    The Executive Director will work collaboratively with regional superintendents and other district personnel, providing leadership and supervision across curriculum and instructional programs for assigned area to ensure fidelity in the implementation of district and state policies.

    Specific Duties:

    • Works with regional superintendents, principals, assistant principals, content supervisors, teachers, and the community.
    • Evaluates instructional programs and materials for specified content areas and/or projects.
    • Leads, directs, and manages the operations and staff of the assigned program or department.
    • Collaborates with local, regional, state, and national representatives in the development, implementation, and maintenance of federal and state K-12 student education laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
    • Assists in interpreting the instructional program in the community; cooperates with community, service, and professional agencies and organizations.
    • Prepares annual budget requests for operation of the department, special programs, and/or projects.
    • Identifies and resolves department or program issues, with reference to higher authority as may be required for corrective action
    • Performs any other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    Education: Master’s degree required. Degree in Educational Leadership or Administration/Supervision preferred.

    Experience: Three (3) years of related management or supervisory experience required. Experience in public school administration, public school district administration, or other large diverse organizations required.

    Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: Florida Professional Educator Certificate in Educational Leadership, School Principal, or Administration and Supervision preferred.
