Job description

Looking for an executive chef to oversee the daily operations of restaurant kitchen. Including hiring, training, and overseeing kitchen staff, and ensuring a high-quality, cost-effective product. Opportunity for bonuses, and shared ownership

Must have experience in:

Managing kitchens, modern/artistic plating, strong communication skills, heightened palate and advanced knowledge of kitchen skills/positions. Bonus if you have experience in traditional Italian or Greek cuisine. If you have any examples of dishes you've created, please include photos (may be linked to facebook or instagram)

Responsibilities:

• Developing unique and cuisine-appropriate menus
• Collaborating with the Restaurant Manager to set item prices
• Staying current on developing trends in the restaurant industry
• Maintaining the kitchen and surrounding areas in conditions that meet the company standards and health code regulations
• Monitoring inventory and purchasing supplies and food from approved vendors
• Hiring, training and supervising kitchen staff
• Assisting and directing kitchen staff in meal preparation, creation, plating and delivery
• Identifying and introducing new culinary techniques
• Preparing meals and completing prep support as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
