Rutland County Parent-Child Center (RCPCC) is looking for a well-organized Executive Assistant to assist the Executive Director of an education / social service nonprofit: Rutland County Parent Child Center. The Parent Child Center provides childcare, early intervention services, high school education for pregnant and parenting youth, parenting classes, a food pantry and teen immersion programs to over 800 people monthly in Rutland County. Job Description

The role of an executive assistant is important to the success of agency leadership and, as a result, outcomes for our program participants. As an executive assistant you will be providing high-level administrative support for the organization's Executive Director, ensuring she can efficiently accomplish key tasks and company initiatives. Help keep communications organized so that she can easily access the most important information without having to sort through low-priority items. Executive Assistants screen all visitors and determine what level of support they need while offering polite, professional customer service. They manage the executive’s daily calendar, including scheduling meetings, confirming appointments and writing itineraries.

Ability to learn a complicated nonprofit system relatively quickly, a high standard of professionalism, a great sense of humor (oh, the things you will see!), and an ability to work in a highly collaborative and stressful environment are key qualities. Attention to detail is an absolute must as well as a strong commitment to serving all participants across programs in our educational and social service programs.

  • Maintain agenda and assist in planning appointments, board meetings, conferences etc.
  • Attending meetings and keeping minutes.
  • Receiving and screening phone calls and redirecting them when appropriate.
  • Create a long term schedule for the ED
  • Ensure that the ED attends all important meetings
  • Manage phone calls
  • Conduct any research needed for reports, grants, etc.
  • Make travel arrangements if necessary
  • Attend board meetings and staff meetings
  • Schedule meetings for the executive

Previous administrative experience is preferred. Experience with Google and Excel is also very beneficial as well as social media platforms. College graduate a plus. Knowledge of or previous experience working in a social justice setting or with an establishment whose focus was on principles of social justice like equality, human rights and fighting discrimination.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17-20 depending on education level
