Valhalla Medics is a HIPAA-compliant on-site medical services group that specializes in EMS Standby for sets, events, and businesses. We are currently looking for an experienced EMT for an onsite EMS-standby event. The contractors would work the following dates November 16th to November 18th

• Nov 16th - 8 am - 5 pm
• Nov 17th - 8 am - 5 pm
• Nov 18th - 8 am - 5 pm
• Nov 19tn - 8am - 5 pm

Job Requirements:

• Supplies Tech Bag
• State EMT license
• CPR or BLS Certificate
• Read, write, and communicate professionally and effectively with employees and managers
• Write simple correspondence or reports
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees and/or managers
• Knowledge of company protocols, operational procedures, and safety policies
• Knowledge of methods and techniques for providing on-site emergency medical services

Responsibilities:

• Lift, carry, and transport injured, sick, or incapacitated persons from residential or accident scenes to medical facilities.
• Provides emergency medical treatment to injured, sick, or incapacitated persons.
• Communicates with professional medical personnel at emergency treatment facilities to obtain instructions regarding treatment and to arrange for the reception of victims at medical treatment facilities.
• Obtains information from persons involved, examines victims and determines nature, extent, or magnitude of illness or injury to establish emergency medical procedures to be followed or need for additional assistance.
• Administers prescribed first-aid treatment at the site of an emergency or in specially equipped vehicles according to established medical protocols.
• Applies splints; administers oxygen or artificial resuscitation; treats and bandages wounds or abrasions, and performs other basic life support procedures.
• Stabilizes, immobilizes, lifts, and moves victims from the scene of an accident or catastrophe.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• EMT- Basic Certification
• Valid CPR Card
• Tech Bag
• At least 1 year of EMS-Standby Experience
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be adaptable and upbeat
• Punctuality is a deal breaker - our clients can't start work unless we do!
• Willing to travel (required)
• OSHA 10, and OSHA 30 certifications are preferred but not required
• 1-2 years of 911 experience is required OR 2-3 years of Transport experience
