Summary of Position:

The ERP Database Administrator (“Admin”) will be responsible for managing the IFS ERP application, related supporting applications, and MS SQL Database for Renco as well as other Standex Electronics locations. The Admin will also assist as needed to support other Standex ERP and SQL Processes.

This position is accountable for ensuring continuity and security of ERP-related services throughout the organization through planning, technical leadership, project coordination and hands on execution with a positive, helpful, and engaged customer service style of interaction.

Major Responsibilities:

• Deploy, monitor, and maintain the IFS ERP application, SQL database(s) and other related applications.
• Provide user support for IFS ERP by creating user documentation and training personnel on applications
• Support and implement the Standex Electronics IT strategy to align multiple systems and ERPs into a coherent and effective value adding solution.
• Coordinate with the Electronics IT Application Development Manager and other Standex enterprise team members to ensure compliance with enterprise and division policy
• Develop reports, dashboards, and other capabilities to improve business information to support decision making.
• Utilize consistent and robust monitoring tools to ensure high availability
• Conduct performance baselines and continually audit for schema improvements
• Troubleshoot any performance anomalies and respond to high priority issues
• Participate in code reviews to ensure new features utilize a robust and scalable schema
• Establish best practices for database auditing
• Ensure sensitive information is properly categorized, stored, and transferred within SQL
• Manage security within SQL Server and other IT solutions
• Establish good interpersonal relationships. Help people feel like valued internal customers and that their IT support needs are being addressed in a timely manner.

Knowledge and Skills:

Needed technical skills:

• IFS Apps 10 ERP administration
• Microsoft SQL administration
• SSRS
• Hands-on experience with ERP implementations and change management
• Windows Server
• Sarbanes-Oxley (preferred)

Other Required Skills/Attributes:

• Demonstrated experience in working effectively and cooperatively with others by establishing and maintaining good working relationship, Projects a customer-oriented attitude.
• Ability and commitment to work off-hours and or overtime as needed to complete projects and ensure systems availability.
• Demonstrated experience in being a proactive and effective communicator with management and users regarding status of current projects, activities, requests, etc., as well as incorporating their perspective when planning future IT objectives.
• Assist in supporting other Standex Groups on an as needed basis.

Educational Requirements/Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, MIS, Business Administration or a directly related field.
• 4-10 years of ERP (preferably IFS or Oracle) experience in a manufacturing organization and strong command of related concepts with regard to systems design, implementation and maintenance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
