Job description
Benvenue Country Club is in search of a motivated, team oriented individual with previous golf course mechanic experience. Benvenue CC is an private, classic, 1922 Donald Ross designed, 18 hole facility located in Rocky Mount NC (45 miles East of Raleigh). We have an amazing, supportive membership. We have mainly toro equipment with a few J.D. pieces and EZ Go utility vehicles. We have Express Dual 4000 and Anglemaster 4000 grinders (pretty new), new grinding room, equipment lift and shop tools. Equipment is replaced on as needed per capital budget. Current mechanic is retiring at end of March.
Experience Requirements
- 2 years minimum (preferably) as a golf course mechanic or assistant golf course mechanic
- Working knowledge of both gas, 2-cycle and diesel equipment repair and maintenance
- Ability to grind reels, bedknives and set up mowing equipment accurately
- Ability to diagnose electrical and hydraulic issues
- Ability to weld
- Maintain a preventative maintenance program
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and determine appropriate repairs
- Ability to work in an organized manner to complete repairs or pm within an appropriate time line
- Record keeping of PM programs, repairs
- Order parts, and shop supplies to keep stock levels appropriate
- Monitor and Schedule delivery of gas, diesel and propane
- Communicate effectively, keep clean shop and equipment and work in a team environment
- Must have a "Whatever it takes attitude"
- A few tournament weekends and Holidays
