Job description
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, 3rd shift, benefit eligible
The Environmental Services Tech I is responsible for the sanitary orderly and attractive condition of the hosptial. Light manual work, involving the performance of routine housekeeping tasks, is performed according to established schedules and procedures. Although the employee may work without close supervision, work is continually subject to review from supervisors and the general public. Cleans assigned areas by washing and disinfecting furnishings, floors and equipment with special cleaning solutions and disinfectants to prevent the spread of disease. Must have a working knowledge of housekeeping equipment and follows facility and departmental policies and procedures adhering to proper sanitation, safety and infection control. The EVS Tech I also performs other duties as assigned.
Minimal Acceptable Job Qualifications
Experience: Environmental Services or Housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
Education: High School Education or equivalent required.
- Two years of housekeeping/cleaning work experience will be considered in lieu of a high school education.
Other: Willingness to provide coverage for team member shortages.
