ENTRY LEVEL CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR – ENGLEWOOD, CO

DETAILS
Hourly Pay: $20-$24/hr ($50-$70k first year compensation after overtime)
Hours: Monday – Friday (8-10 hours/day, depending on projects)

OVERVIEW
Ripple Effect Consulting is looking to hire recent graduates or experienced estimators to perform
Geotechnical field tests and estimates on construction projects in Colorado. If you have a degree in
Construction Management or Engineering and would like to gain hands on mentorship with construction estimating in Colorado, please APPLY!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Perform material tests on concrete, soil and asphalt around Denver, CO
  • Learn the ins and outs of horizontal construction estimating:

1. Attending pre-bid meetings

2. Conducting site visits

3. Interacting with internal operations staff and contractors on job sites

4. Prepare quantity takeoffs

5. Input data into estimating software on the computer

  • Reviewing project specifications:

1. Recommending best solutions on a project-by-project basis based on cost analysis

  • Research historical data including subcontractor costs, purchase orders and productivity analysis reports
  • Organize and detail estimates for Project Managers to review and sign off on

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 0-3 years of experience
  • BS Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or equivalent degree
  • Desire to grow in a construction estimating career path
  • Ability to perform field tests while learning the estimating process
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Clean Background Check, Motor Vehicle Record and Pre-Employment Drug Test

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Englewood, CO: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Construction estimating: 1 year (Preferred)
