Job description
We are looking for Entry Level Blaster. Starting pay is $19.59 an hour including shift differential for 2nd shift.
Hours: 5 Days a week, 2nd shift 2pm – 10pm, some training will be on first shift, 6am-2pm.

- Assists various plant production personnel and under the direction of skilled labor, performs car repair work involving burning, fitting, grinding, blasting, and painting.
- Uses a variety of tools and equipment including but not limited to pneumatic and hydraulic tools, jacks, cutting torches, and forklifts proficiently.
- Completes tasks that may include changing gaskets, hoses, valves, repairing piping, and pipe fitting.
- Acts as a safety watch for tank/hopper car entry.
- Maintains area in a neat and orderly manner and reports work hazards.
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Must be able to demonstrate job related knowledge of measuring devices such as rules.
- Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of weight volume, and other units of measurements.
- Must be able to work effectively and efficiently both as a member of a team and independently.
- Able to follow written and/or verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
- Dependable and reliable to show up for scheduled work shifts, including overtime
- Must be able to work any shift
- Exposed to dirt, fumes, smoke, and heat.
- Work outdoors often and be exposed to the elements.
- Physical effort in lifting and carrying materials and attaching rigging devices. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Moderate physical exertion is required. Positions relatively heavy objects by using a forklift or other mechanical means.
- Manual dexterity in operating control levers and buttons.
- Exposed to dirt, fumes, smoke, and heat.
- Some climbing into and out of vehicles, crane cabs, etc.
- Some outside work possible minor cuts and bruises. Must exercise caution in operation of equipment in confined areas.
- Possible exposure to hazardous materials or hazardous waste from leaks or spills of these materials while moving or storing them.
