General Experience:
- Engineering Technician IV (Electrical) - Propulsion Control Systems
- Qualified candidates must have a minimum of three (3) years “journeyman level” experience within the last five (5) years in each and every area (1) through (4) below, unless otherwise specified.
- Independently or leading a team of technicians troubleshooting, repairing or testing U.S. Navy ship structural, mechanical or electrical equipment/systems as described in Specific Experience.
- Independently or leading a team accomplishing formal material condition assessments (Ex. TSRA, ICMP, INSURV or similar) of U.S. Navy ship’s systems as described in Specific Experience.
- Communicating the findings of the above troubleshooting/assessments with official reports.
- Use of the following, or similar, workload databases: Microsoft Office products, Navy Maintenance Database (NMD), minimum of read access rights on Electronic Departure From Specifications (eDFS), Navy Ship’s Engineering Drawing Repository (NSEDR) and TAAS-Info. There is no minimum time duration for experience with these programs.
Specific Experience: The experience required is a combination of mechanical, electrical, and electronic disciplines, but is primarily electrical/electronic in nature.
- Assessment and oversight of repair of U.S. Navy ships’ propulsion control systems.
- Interpreting naval engineering drawings and electrical diagrams.
Education:
- Former GSE a plus.
- Must have, or be eligible to receive and maintain a current U.S. Passport. If not in possession of a current passport, must show evidence of applying for a passport at time of hiring.
