This position provides support to clinicians and collaborates with other team members in the treatment of adults referred by the legal system suffering from substance abuse and/or mental health disorders, in community-based outpatient treatment settings. Duties include liaison between probation, bail and court and the clinical program, risk/need assessments, coordination and case management with treatment providers and community resources and assisting with enrolling clients in entitlement benefits, and data entry. Work collaboratively with medical, treatment, employment, housing, and educational linkages in the community on behalf of clients. Primary liaison between probation, bail and court to communicate and facilitate client engagement and retention in clinical services.

Working within Adult Services, Engagement Specialist works with our Center for Behavioral Health program staff to provide essential outpatient services to families and adults facing mental health and substance use complexities.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s Degree
  • 2+ years related experience
  • Valid Connecticut Driver’s License
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required
  • The Connection Inc. complies with Executive Order 13G. Any employee hired on or after September 27, 2021 must either be vaccinated against COVID-19 or apply for a medical or religious exemption and be approved.

Orientation:

  • If selected for employment with The Connection, newly hired employees will be required to attend a mandatory New Hire Orientation that will be scheduled upon hire.
