POSITION SUMMARY:

This position contributes to Northwest Ambulance by assisting the administration and our operations managers in executing as well as completing daily tasks, assisting with supervisory oversight. The MSO is responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Northwest Ambulance policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The incumbent must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of Supervisor and an EMT, in a professional and compassionate manner, including but not limited to:

- Assist with daily operations as needed
- Be available to assist field personnel with operational issues
- Be familiar with Incident Command System
- Manage any on-duty exposures to employees
- Encourage, counsel and train employees
- Provide leadership by using effective communication skills, problem solving, and proactive conflict resolution to employees.
- Assistant with Dispatch when needed, receiving, prioritizing, coordinating, and dispatching Northwest Ambulance CCT and BLS crews to all requests for transport in a swift and proper manner.

- Manage the facilitation of ambulance maintenance and equipment needs are met with prompt and adequate attention.

- Support the management team with organizational change and participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of that change to ensure overall agency improvement.
- Assure all employees follow company policy and procedure. This is including but not limited to: housekeeping standards, uniform adherence, response times, adherence to safe driving standards, EPCR standards, always ensuring a professional attitude.

- Responsible for staffing needs.
- Reduce overtime by identifying and adjusting staffing levels as needed.
- Assist in the review of charting when needed for completion and accuracy
- Training and evaluation of newly hired employees.
- Assist when needed in maintaining proper and accurate supplies for all units and facilities
- Maintain constant communications with Management and daily detailed reports/pass downs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION:

* Active Washington State EMT Certification.
* Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work cohesively as well as effectively with not only our team and with a diverse range of individuals but also independently.

* Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects at once with exceptional time management skills.
* leadership as well as customer service, dependability, and organization skills with an attention to detail.
* Flexible, adaptable, and able to adjust to rapidly changing priorities.
* Computer skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.)

* One year + of field EMT experience

* Completion of ICS-100 & 200 and IS-700 Courses or ensure to complete within 30 days of employment.

* Comprehensive knowledge of Snohomish, Pierce, Skagit, Whatcom and the outlining counties, including medical systems and geographic information.

* Medical Terminology course and/or knowledge.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $64,850.00 per year
