Your role

Are you an expert in workplace issues? Do you want to help us provide HR advice and solutions to our colleagues?

We're looking for an HR employee relations specialist to:
  • advise employees (including HR colleagues and line managers) on matters like performance management, family and medical leave, health-related issues and claims of unfair treatment
  • support workplace issues and disciplinary actions including terminations, warnings and grievances
  • help manage workforce strategy (reductions, acquisitions or divestitures) and training needs
  • develop, implement and maintain HR tools that help us handle workplace issues well
  • investigate and resolve employee concerns and complaints, and review disputes
  • partner with Employment Legal, supporting the development and governance of policies and procedures

Your team

You'll be working in the Employee Relations team in either NYC, Weehawken or Nashville. We make sure our employees are in a safe and fair environment. Our employees come to us for guidance when they have workplace issues. We clarify company policies, pass on information about health and safety programs, and help with concerns about disciplinary actions. As an employee relations specialist, you’ll play an important role in proactively driving a positive culture, delivering strategic ER solutions to promote and uphold good behavior and protect our brand.

Your expertise

  • law degree or equivalent focusing on US employment law
  • ideally worked in a legal or HR environment handling employee relations matters for 7+ years
  • proven effectiveness playing a pivotal role in projects on a global level, including shared services and cross-regional policies
  • know-how to provide advice to employees on how to handle workplace issues
  • excellent communicator (both professional and sensitive)
  • discrete in handling employee concerns and complaints

Salary information

New York City based roles only- The salary range in NYC for this role will be $155,000 – $190,000 based on experience, education and skill level of the candidate. The role may be eligible for discretionary annual incentive compensation.
