Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set up machinery for operation.
• Start machinery and make adjustments to machinery when necessary to improve performance.
• Operate machinery and equipment according to instructions.
• Troubleshoot issues and perform maintenance.
• Perform quality control, follow reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to the Propagation Coordinator.
• Comply with all safety and health regulations.
• Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in the work area.
• Ellepot operator must have an understanding of production and propagation processes.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities:

• Communication skills – maintain daily communication with Propagation Coordinator and have the ability to follow written and oral instructions. They should be effective verbal communicators and able to coordinate activities during a shift. Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with other professionals in a team setting. Ability to interact positively and effectively with team members, management, and administrators.
• Organization – Skills and ability in organization, time management, and task prioritization. Analytical and numerical skills: ability to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in different units of measurement. Ability to work well under stressful pressure and use sound judgement. The ability to keep careful records and documentation.
• Attention to detail – this role also requires a high level of attention to detail to identify precise measurements and adjustments.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift heavy equipment, to bend, and to stand or walk for long periods of time.
• Willingness to work in shifts (late or early hours, weekends).
• Lifting and moving trays, bags, machine parts/components (30lbs.+), loaded racks, and loaded pallet jacks.
• Physical outdoor working conditions.
