Youth Development Professional Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Motivate members to participate in programs, activities and events.
  • Submit all required reports and records timely to the appropriate staff member.
  • Collaborate with outside entities to enhance programs and services; families, schools and other organizations and institutions as directed.
  • Provide group and individual instruction.
  • Assist with the completion of homework.
  • Participate in organizational meetings and conferences as requested.
  • Ensure a healthy, safe environment in program areas.
  • Supervise the care and maintenance of equipment and facility.
  • Plan, promote, and conduct special events.
  • Encourage and develop good sportsmanship and fair play amongst youngsters.
  • Stimulate interest in activities through up to date bulletin boards, announcements and flyers.
  • collect specific attendance data for groups and activities

Core Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of 2 years experience or more in youth development
  • A passion for BGCA mission and demonstrated interest in field of education and youth development
  • Availability from 2:00pm-8:00pm; Monday-Friday throughout the school year
  • Must have experience within working in a afterschool program with age groups from kindergarten to middle school

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 4 hour shift
  • After school
