Summary:
Ensures timely and efficient completion of engineering test programs to achieve qualification of aerospace hydraulic products. Responsible for leading group of project test engineers and coordinating the test phase of product development, including scheduling, design changes, test procedure generation, test execution and coordination with project engineering.
Essential Functions:
- Provides technical direction for activities within his purview.
- Coordinates activities of the test project engineering group to accomplish multiple tasks within schedule and budget constraints.
- Works with project engineer to develop accurate and detailed schedule of all development and qualification test activities required by customer specification.
- Designs and implements test fixtures and tooling required to assemble and test product. With guidance from project engineer, generates test procedures based on customer specification requirements.
- Evaluates product design during qualification test process, initiates and executes design changes to product as necessary to achieve qualification test success. Conducts investigations of test failures to determine root cause and implements corrective action.
- Leads qualification test effort by coordinating the activities of test engineering, operations, and outside laboratories to ensure hardware availability, proper execution of tests, and achievement of schedule milestones.
- Responsible for tracking and maintaining configuration of product throughout qualification test process.
- Coordinates with the New Product Introduction team.
- Contributes to team effort by maintaining a positive outlook.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures, including safety requirements.

Supervisory responsibility:
The Test Engineer, Electro-mechanical 3 role has no supervisory responsibilities.
Required education, certification, and experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree, from an accredited university, in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace engineering; or the equivalent of direct and applicable experience in one of these fields.
- Ten (10) years’ experience as a project engineer in the Aerospace hydraulics industry.
Physical demands:
- May require lifting, pulling, and carrying up to fifty (50) pounds
- Standing up to eight (8) hours per day, sitting up to eight (8) hours per day, or a combination of sitting and standing.
Travel:
Potential of up to 10% domestic and/or international.

Pay: $89,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
