WHAT YOU GET TO DO

The Electrical Installations Technician must train and lead contractors and ensure they stay on schedule and on task. They will monitor contractors and work with them to align with any Knapp processes. Occasionally, Employee will need to assist the contractors in completing tasks.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Execution of assigned projects
  • Train and guide contractor on Knapp’s installation methods
  • Ensure contractors abide by Knapp and Customer policies
  • Ensure contractors maintain the project schedule
  • Ensure contractors adhere to appropriate U.S. standard of installation and safety equipment guidelines
  • Communicate daily progress and safety reports to Installation Coordinator and Site Manager
  • Ensure contractors maintain installation staff schedules and time reporting
  • Read electrical plans; be familiar with current state and local codes for electrical wiring
  • Ensure installation meets Knapp and Customer quality standards
  • Complete appropriate documentation for contractors evaluation
  • Perform electrical installation on small projects and service calls


WHO YOU ARE

  • An experienced Electrical Technician with a conveyor installation background
  • Having an electrical installation license is a plus
  • Have organizational skills; ability to complete tasks on time and work in high pressure situations
  • Have analytical skills
  • Have interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate others
  • Management and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A team player, willingness to learn new processes
  • Active knowledge of safety guidelines in the industrial environment
  • Willing to travel often and work flexible hours based on the project (e.g. night shift or weekends)
