Electrical Engineer/Designer

Main responsibilities

- Design commercial and residential electrical systems for solar and battery back up applications. Commercial electrical design experience a must, we can teach the solar aspects.

- Review drawings for code and design compliance

- Communicate with clients regarding submittals, construction schedules, sequencing

- Research new products and assess design integration with current systems

- Review designs of residential and commercial solar PV systems

- Review permit plan-sets and construction drawings in AutoCAD

- Speak with AHJs and Inspectors as needed to make sure permits are processed without issues

Qualifications

- B.S. Degree / Electrical Engineering preferred.

- 4+ years in the design and construction building electrical systems.

- Solar project design preferred

- Energy backup and storage systems and components experience preferred.

- Periodic site visits in various weather conditions

- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and excel

- Knowledge of NEC, IBC and NFPA

- Close attention to detail

- Ability to work independently and within a team

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- NABCEP Preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
