Title: Ballot Processor

Location: Phoenix, AZ.

Pay Rate: $14.00/hr.

Hours: 40 hrs./wk. (7:30am-4:00pm) and two mandatory weekends (10/29/22-10/30/22 and 11/15/22-11/16/22)

Type: Temporary (1 month) (Starting on 10/19/22 and Ending on 11/11/22)

Newkleo is hiring Temporary Ballot Processors for one of their clients in Phoenix, AZ.

Duties:

  • Ballot Processors prepare ballots for the Ballot Tabulation Center and are required to work with a partner who is of a different political party than themselves.
  • Ballot Processors are attentive to detail and handle high volumes of time sensitive paperwork, accounting-oriented work environment.
  • Opens, verifies, and accurately counts ballots
  • Prepares, balances, and manages all ballot-related paperwork
  • Removes ballots from the affidavit envelopes, reviewing, sorting, and stacking ballots for tabulation.
  • A lot of hand/eye coordination and repetitive hand movements when sorting through ballots

Skills Required:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Manual dexterity
  • Ability to lift floor-to-shoulder and shoulder-to-waist a minimum of 25 pounds and carry for 100 feet
  • Ability to push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds for 200 feet
  • Extensive overtime may be required (depending on volume)

Experience Required:

  • Minimal experience required (knowledge of basic computer application)
  • Must be registered to vote in the State of Arizona

Education Required:

  • High School Diploma/GED

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: Up to $14.00 per hour

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Phoenix, AZ 85003: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
