Hibbett Sports is hiring a new EDI Assistant at our Corporate Office in Birmingham, AL! The EDI Assistant is responsible for assisting in all EDI (Inbound and Outbound) operations and communications from the vendor for orders that are being received in PKMS. Communicates with vendors, buyers, and allocators to ensure accuracy on the trailer log. Ensures correct and accurate EDI transmissions, following through on the ASN entry from the vendor to the EDI translator into the PKMS system. The EDI Assistant properly documents error that will be communicated to the vendor compliance office for chargebacks to be initiatives. Builds strong relationships with vendors, merchants, the warehouse, and IT to ensure correct and accurate EDI transmissions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Confirm EDI communications sessions ran successfully. Research any EDI translation or communication errors for any edit transactions.
- Validate EDI error edit check. Email buyers and coordinate with the warehouse PKMS error log.
- Resolve issues with current vendors including transmission error resolution, inbound quantity issues, and EDI vendor changes.
- Resolve issues with PKMS receiving (trailer log, report chargeback to vendor compliance office). Resolve issues such as carton count, distros, overages, shortages, and POMDTL errors.
- Communicate and work with the warehouse and merchandising department to resolve receiving issues and other errors.
- Document issues with MMS errors with the merchandising department for receiving goods at the warehouse. Errors like distribution errors, incorrect purchase order dates, overages and shortages, incorrect purchase order status, and errors in component SKUs.
- Respond to vendor inquiries via phone and e-mail regarding purchase orders, ASN, and invoice transmission schedules.
- Work with the senior coordinator, EDI and coordinator, EDI on all EDI invoicing issues.
- Protect the company’s assets and financial information by ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures and informing management and/or appropriate officials of potential fraud risk.

No supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 year of experience working in inventory management or a related field.
- Strong communication and attention to detail skills.
