Location: Remote

The proposed salary range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications. RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Part of an agile team that, as part of a green field effort, will build an entire Test Lab on AWS Gov Cloud (Cloud One), maintain a Kubernetes platform, and develop and maintain an Air Force application
    • Assist in the implementation of a scalable, secure, highly-available, multi-tenant Web application in Kubernetes for production environment to receive Authority to Operate
    • Participate in design and automation of cloud native architecture and CI/CD process for microservices applications in our technology stack (build, test, release, and gitops)
    • Work with the Infrastructure Engineer to annotate and document the cloud resource architecture and implement using IaC/Configuration management best practices (Terraform/Terragrunt/CloudFormation/Ansible)
    • Develop and deploy production systems in AWS Gov Cloud (Cloud One)
    • Support in areas of identity and access management, cloud infrastructure, patching, and backup/recovery processes
    • Be able to diagnose, mitigate and/or escalate system issues to maintain a high level of system/platform availability.
    • Implement blue/green, canary, etc. deployments on Kubernetes
    • Build performance, monitoring and logging dashboards (ELK, Grafana, Prometheus)

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

    • Clearance: Active Secret Clearance (minimum)
    • Years of Experience: 3 years of experience]
    • Education: BS Degree in a related field - Degree is negotiable with 5 years of equivalent experience
    • 2+ years implementing and supporting AWS or equivalent cloud enterprise solutions.
    • DOD Directive 8570 IAT II certification (Security+ or equivalent)
    • Adequate knowledge of software engineering principles, methods, and techniques
    • Experience with automation to deploy and manage infrastructure, database, and networking architectures for cloud native scalable applications
    • Experience working with AWS GovCloud
    • AWS experience (specifically Auto Scaling Groups, Security Groups, S3 buckets, and policies)
    • Experience with Git
    • Experience working in a DevSecOps environment using collaboration software. Prefer experience with Digital.ai products
    • Operating in agile scrum team
    • Experience scripting in Bash, Ansible, or Python
    • Experience with Container Orchestration Platforms
    • Experience with container technologies (containerd, podman, docker)
    • Experience with Linux operating systems
    • Understanding of operational best practices, configuration management, and security controls
    • Efficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting issues
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal, problem solving, organizational, and multi-tasking skills

    • Willing to learn something new.

    • Willing to work with teammates to implement solutions within Agile sprint boundaries
    • Problem solver, critical thinker.
    • Familiarity with PlatformOne products (IronBank, Bigbang, Repo1, Mattermost) and design patterns
    • Experience in Service Mesh (Istio or Consul)
    • Familiarity with Secrets Management (HashiCorp Vault, AWS KMS, SOPs)
    • Self starter -very little supervision
