E-Commerce Merchandise Planner
We are looking for an experienced E-Commerce Merchandise Planner to join our team! We are a brick & mortar company of 215 stores with a growing e-commerce platform. The E-Commerce Merchandise Planner’s primary responsibility will be focusing on driving results by maximizing sales, analyzing inventory levels, and ensuring profitability. This role is responsible for analyzing the product assortment as well as customer trends. The E-Comm Merch. Planner will assist in the strategic and daily execution for planning, buying, analyzing, merchandising, and forecasting the e-commerce business activity. Always looking for new assortment items and reviewing existing goods to ensure our competitiveness. The candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners and team members to ensure company goals are met.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform data validation, identify necessary data elements; leverage appropriate tools to acquire and consolidate data from various sources.
· Analyze historical sales data and future trends to ensure all risks and opportunities are evaluated and a proper plan is created.
· Manage SKU level demand forecasting and buying across channels.
· Enhance and maintain the e-commerce replenishment process.
· Establish and monitor inventory levels.
· Planning for assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies.
· Analyze and optimize fill rate, lead time variability, and sourcing cost.
· Develop and update weekly, monthly, and quarterly merchandise reports.
· Translate insights into dashboards, graphics, and summaries to share with cross functional partners.
· Analyze and provide inventory status reports.
· Proactively work with cross functional teams to understand efficiencies and manage expectations.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
· 2-3 years of experience in planning, buying, or merchandising in a retail e-commerce environment.
· Shopify experience is a definite plus.
· Understanding of key retail performance metrics, including markup, margin, sell-thru and demand curves.
· Advanced proficiency with Excel. Working knowledge of SQL and experience querying databases.
· Highly analytical and detail oriented.
· Appetite for learning and expanding knowledge on all areas of e-commerce.
· Excellent communication (Verbal and Written) skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
