Job description
We are a busy retail/wholesale Kitchen & Bath Outlet seeking an E-Commerce Associate to assist with growing our online business. The candidate would assist our existing teams in onboarding new products, improving existing product listings, and monitor product listings for issues. They may also need to assist our shipping department with processing incoming orders, tracking incoming containers from overseas, as well as assist in other tasks as they come up. We prefer a year of E-Commerce experience and at least a GED or High School Diploma.
Main Responsibilities
Product Listing
- Onboarding new products into various marketplaces (Wayfair, Overstock, Amazon, Etsy, etc) and managing existing product listings.
- Data entry of product measurements, descriptions, features, inventory, and keywords into spreadsheets or web portals.
- Maintenance and updates of product listings as necessary.
- Ensuring product listings show up on site and are searchable.
- Communicating with manufacturers for product information and materials.
- Communicating with marketplace support to correct issues with product listings.
- Monitoring product inventory to identify low stock/out of stock/inaccurate stock products.
Order Processing
- Printing and filing order paperwork (packing slips, bills of lading, shipping labels, etc).
- Working with the warehouse to ensure all orders go out on time.
- Contacting marketplaces in the event of backorders or delays.
- Responding to marketplace support messages or customer questions.
- Contacting carriers to schedule pickups.
- Contacting freight forwarders and schedule/track delivery of product containers from overseas manufacturers.
Required Skills
- Intermediate computer skills - Able to organize, download, and upload images, spreadsheets, PDFs, and other files.
- Intermediate skills with Excel or Google Sheets - Able to sort/filter sheets and understand/write basic formulas (such as VLOOKUP and nested IFs) or be willing to learn.
- Fluent in English and can communicate with other office members.
- Be willing to learn and develop new skills as needed.
Optional Skills (Not Required but Good to Have)
- Prior experience with E-commerce order and inventory management software such as Shipstation, SKUVault, LogicBroker, or similar programs.
- Experience in copywriting product descriptions or features.
- Prior experience working with popular online marketplaces and their management portals such as Wayfair Partner Home, Overstock Supplier Oasis, Amazon Seller Central, eBay, Walmart Seller Center, BigCommerce, Etsy, Home Depot IDM, CommerceHub, etc.
- Experience with booking and shipping freight or LTL shipments.
- Experience with receiving containers from overseas (customs paperwork, tracking, etc).
